Apple Tablet "iSlate" Perhaps?????

Recently rumors saying that Apple is going to release a new product line, some sort like a Tablet but none of us know how accurate it is and its specifications....

Latest new from the internet reveals that this coming Wednesday 10 morning pacific time, 27 Jan 2010 will be the product launch event by Apple Inc. One thing for sure is Apple Inc will launch a new product, but whether it is the "iSlate" Tablet o not, we still have to wait for the official announcement by Steve Job, CEO of Apple Inc....

Let's wait and see how Apple Inc make it the remarkable day again....

So, I just bought myself a Seiko 5 watch today, which cost me RM250. It's not an expensive watch compare with the Seiko Premier or Criteria product line.... So what makes me so in love with the watch??

The old school design for Seiko 5 and its See-thru mineral crystal back cover are the main attraction for me while choosing a watch. Of course, budget would be my main concern for choosing it as well.... With the price I think is worth to get an automatic watch rather than normal battery powered watch, and it's a Seiko, Stainless Steel, and it's elegant.... Here's the specifications for my Seiko 5:

"Old Dogs" movie review

Familiar with the place above?? Yeap, it's GSC Mid Valley and I was there for a movie session with my friends just few hours ago....

We decided to watch Old Dogs, a new comedy movie from Walt Disney which circulate the live between 2 best friends and business partners, starring Robin Williams (Dan) and John Travolta (Charlie).

Synopsis:

The movie started with the story of an unlucky divorcee Dan was on a wild vacation with Charlie where Dan meets Vicki, who he thinks is his soul mate. As a result, Dan and Vicki marry at the same night and here's the start of the story.... 7 years later, Vicki comes back to Dan with 2 a twins of his, Zach and Emily. Dan has no choice but to take care of the twins after Vicki has to go to jail for 2 weeks, while Dan and Charlie are on the verge of the biggest business deal of their lives.

As expected, the twins create chaotic and messy life for Dan while Dan is trying hard to balance between his job and the twins. It has a lot of funny scene throughout the movie and I'm sure that you'll LAUGH like HELL all the way.... It was a happy ending at last as Dan and Vicki and the twins are finally together after so many years when he first met Vicki as his soul mate....

Review of the movie:

Personally this is a comedy movie that many of you shouldn't miss out. This movie shows the love from a father and how would a father trying his best just to let his children happy. Personally I think it is a nice movie for a family to watch together, as you will Laugh all the way in the cinema, and at the same time you'll be so touching on how a father sacrifice his life and business in order to getting closer with his children.

The downside of this movie would be the common story line and it takes only 1 and half hour to complete the movie. There is nothing more than a conventional comedy movie mixed with some Disney Family Values, not much gimmick and it's definitely not a "wow" movie after you watch it.... So don't expect too much on this movie, just watch it and Laugh as loud as possible... haha...

Overall it's OK for me and I would rate 7/10 for this movie.......

Of course, the moral of the story is : Think before you DO, to prevent a twin come over to you and call you "Papa" 7 years later.... Wahahaha....

USB wall plug charger for Iphone

Just received the postage for my iphone USB wall plug charger today.... It's working well and thanks Vryon from LYN forum for making this good deal!!!

I bought it from LYN forum, and this only cost me RM40 which is much more cheaper if compare to Ori charger which would cost me around RM100++.....

"Erase all content and Settings" in Iphone

Wooosh... This really caused me a lot of troubles....

My previous post only stated that I've done with all the unblock and jailbreak process for Iphone and ready to use it.... However, it just happen in a sudden after I chose the setting as stated on the title!!!

Alright, my intention was just to clear all the contacts, messages, photos, and others settings in the phone by the previous user. After that only I realize that the setting is equal to "delete iphone", meaning that all the apps, settings, songs, and even firmware will be restored to factory setting.

So, no choice but have to terminate it and turn my iphone in DFU mode to upgrade the firmware again.... haiz... When the process ended, I got shocked again coz it showed that my iphone is not activated.... Only Emergency call is allowed!!! Almost fainted but luckily with we have Google in this world... haha...

Actually this incident is quite good for me coz I've figure out another method which is easier to jailbreak the iphone. This time I was using BlackRa1n RC3, which is a new software and it's even able to jailbreak iphone 3Gs...

Click on this link BlackRa1n RC3, and follow the steps inside to Activate and Jailbreak the iphone....

So, when you received an Iphone next time and it still non-activated, this thread might help you a lot as the previous way that relates to emergency call is harder and consume much more time...

Iphone 2g Jailbreak with 3.1.2 firmware

Well, it' s really a New Year surprise while I was in Kedah to attend my cousin's wedding dinner. One of my cousin offered to give us an iphone 2G, which he has abandoned for some time. The reason why he doing this is to encourage me and my sister to learn more on the apps on the iphone that is so damn popular around d world right now.... So, since my sister is not interested in using an iphone, I was glad to take it for myself as my N73 has come to the end of its lifespan as well!!! lolx...

Alright, when I switch on the iphone for the first time, it was a AT&T network iphone from US and running the firmware of ver1.1.4 which is the first generation iphone. To make it clear, 1st generation of iphone would be iphone 2G, 2nd generation is the iphone 3G, and the 3rd generation will be the latest iphone 3GS......

Without any hesitation, i turn on my iTunes to sync the iphone with it and it will automatically upgrade the firmware to the latest 3.1.2 version. Upon completion, I followed the steps to Jailbreak and Unlock by using Redsnow, and it's just few steps away to use the iphone.

So here are the steps:

1. Before doing anything, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and the latest firmware 3.0 3.1.2 installed on your iPhone 2G.

2. Create a new folder on your desktop. In this folder, download RedSn0w as well as the 3.0 firmware (not 3.1.2) for your iPhone 2G from our iPhone downloads page (make sure you pick the right firmware). Also download the following bootloader files: BL 3.9 and BL 4.6

3. Unzip and launch RedSn0w.

4. Click “browse” and select the 3.0 (not 3.1.2) firmware you downloaded in a folder in step 2.

5. Once the firmware has been successfully identified, click “next”.

6. Select “install Cydia” and “unlock”, then click “next”.

7. Browse for the bootloader files you downloaded in step 2, and click “next”.

8. Make sure your iPhone is plugged into the computer and that it is off. Click “next”.

9. RedSn0w will then guide you to put your iPhone into DFU mode. Hold down the power button for 2 seconds. Without releasing the power button, also hold down the home button for 10 seconds. Without releasing the home button, release the power button but keep holding the home button for 30 seconds.

10. If done correctly, your iPhone should reboot and the jailbreak process should start. This step may take up to 15-20 minutes so be patient.

11. Once this process is over, you will get a message saying that it is “done!”

12. Click the “finish” button and reboot your iPhone. The reboot may take up to 10 minutes so again, be patient.

13. Congratulations, you just jailbroke and unlocked your iPhone 3.0 3.1.2 with RedSn0w.

Well, using RedSnow is much more easier although there are many ways out there to Jailbreak an iphone. Just google it and the results will mess you up easily.

It was the time I thought finally I can install my sim card and make a phone call. However, it shows no signal at all and my first thought was the Redsnow couldn't jailbreak and unlock my iphone..... After some research I realize that my Celcom sim card was the one to be blamed!!!

I got this from Lowyat.net forum and it really solved my problem:

Okay, 1st step put atnt sim card or any working simcard, digi, maxis (other than celcom) n power on.. Wait till got some signal bar / no network display..

2. Go to setting, carrier. It will search for network. (if no carier show, go back home and wait a while). wait till all 3 network found. (leave the right tick to default "automatic")

3. Press power button (put iphone on standy NOT OFF).

4. Replace the simcard with celcom. (the msg no sim will pop up.. just ignore it and just press the power button to put it on standby mode again)

5. Press power button then 'slide to unlock' You will see the network list. Choose celcom and go home.. Never enter carrier menu again.

Note: on step 5 you need to unlock (keying sim card pin) 1st if you enable the sim lo

In the end, my iphone is ready and it's running 3.1.2 firmware, jailbreak with Cydia and Rock application, and I gotta start to sync all my contacts in N73 to iphone... But unfortunately, I can't sync those precious messages in my N73 to iphone due to compatibility issue...

*Method above only suitable for iphone 2g and users I can't confirm it works 100%... Try it at your own risk!!!
